Commercial Art Technology 1,2,3
These are foundation courses in visual construction where the tools and processes of design, including 2D and 3D design, drawing, photography and typography are taught. The emphasis is on developing strong visual and technical skills using Adobe Illustrator software.
Commercial Art Technology 4,5,6
Building on the principles learned in visual construction, students learn color theory, the impact of color in design and how to create effective, eye-catching advertising design. Adobe Photoshop and InDesign are part of the curriculum.
Web Design
Understanding mass communications on the worldwide web is essential in order to keep up with savvy consumers. Students will learn to create effective web advertising that hits the target audience and promotes a call to action. Students will create an online portfolio -- a valuable tool for contacting potential employers.
Animation Modeling
This course teaches the fundamentals for becoming an animator. Students learn character development, the use of storyboards starting with the concept, to sketching, to constructing their own maquette. This course gives students a jump start to the exploding field of animation.
